Our FIVE Mission Areas
The Chicago Central District is comprised of 12 counties in the northeast portion of the state of Illinois. These counties have been organized into 5 Mission Areas based on the church’s geographic location. We currently have identified 167 communities, neighborhoods, villages or towns on the CCD where we do not have a mission point or a church. As you browse through our existing churches, please breathe a prayer the Lord will help us to multiply (Mark 4:20, 26-29)! We also encourage you to get to know the churches within your Mission Area location.
Because of their language context, we also have another unique group of churches we resource: Hispanic Churches. We list Hispanic churches separately as a group, but also include them in the 5 Mission Areas listing so everyone can learn their location on our District.
Each Mission Area has a leader who assists our District Superintendent in building a sense of community and camaraderie among the pastors of that mission area and serving as a communications bridge between the local congregations and the District.
